Bible Banned From School Football Field

By DORIE TURNER AP FORT OGLETHORPE, Ga. (Oct. 2) -The Warriors of Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High took the field on Friday night without any Bible verses written on the cheerleaders' banner. Instead, the football team ran through a banner that read "This is Big Red Country" before each bent on a knee to pray on the field of Tommy Cash Stadium.
The spirited display comes after the school district banned the banners last week over concerns they were unconstitutional and could provoke a lawsuit, angering many in the deeply religious north Georgia town of Fort Oglethorpe. "I'm just kind of unnerved about it," said 18-year-old Cassandra Cooksey, a recent graduate who often prayed with her fellow marching band members before football games. "It seems like the majority of people in our community want this and they don't have a problem with it, so I think they should be allowed to have the signs if they want to." The move has galvanized the community. Hundreds of people attended a rally this week supporting the signs, which included messages such as: "Commit to the Lord, whatever you do, and your plans will succeed." Many students attended class Friday wearing shirts with Bible verses and painted their cars with messages that read: "Warriors for Christ."
During the game, several other messages were visible in the packed stadium. Some people stood with signs that read "You Can't Silence Us" and some young men had Bible verses painted on their chests.

Some people just refuse to follow certain laws. It is not allowed period. But we have people who think dumb things, then they have the nerve to write dumb things, and here they are.

AP CHICAGO (Sept. 28) – Cell phone footage showing a group of teens viciously kicking and striking a 16-year-old honors student with splintered railroad ties has ramped up pressure on Chicago officials to address chronic violence that has led to dozens of deaths of city teens each year.
The graphic video of the afternoon melee emerged on local news stations over the weekend, showing the fatal beating of Derrion Albert, a sophomore honor roll student at Christian Fenger Academy High School. His death was the latest addition to a rising toll: More than 30 students were killed last school year, and the city could exceed that number this year. Prosecutors charged four teenagers Monday with fatally beating Albert, who was walking to a bus stop when he got caught up in the mob street fighting, authorities said.
The violence stemmed from a shooting early Thursday morning involving two groups of students from different neighborhoods, said Tandra Simonton, a spokeswoman for the Cook County prosecutor's office. When school ended, members of the groups began fighting near the Agape Community Center.

For example black parents in a shopping center will curse, beat, sometime abuse their children in front of everyone and humiliate them. The child later on learns that this is the right behavior and they will continue to do this through life. Now a normal, educated parent who is at a shopping center sees their child misbehaving, they will handle it by giving the child a time out, talking to them in a respectable manner but still scolding them for what they did in a NORMAL WAY and not beating them or embarrassing them in a public setting. Clinton Changes Mind on Gay Marriage

Here is the story:
(Sept. 26) -- Former President Bill Clinton has revealed he recently had a change of heart on the issue of same-sex marriage.
In an interview with CNN's Anderson Cooper Friday, Clinton explained that he still believes each state should decide whether to legalize gay marriage, but he is no longer personally opposed to it.

“I think if people want to make commitments that last a lifetime, they ought to be able to do it," Clinton said.
"I was against the constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage nationwide, and I still think that the American people should be able to play this out in debates," the former president added. "But me, Bill Clinton personally, I changed my position."
Asked what caused him to switch his stance, Clinton said he realized his support for other gay-rights issues -- such as adoption rights for same-sex couples -- didn't square with his position on marriage.
"I realized that I was over 60 years old. I grew up in a different time ... and I was hung up about it," Clinton said. "I decided I was wrong."

HUNTINGDON VALLEY, Pa. (July 10) - State officials will investigate accusations of racial discrimination against a suburban Philadelphia swim club that allegedly reacted to a visiting group of minority children by asking them not to return.
The Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission will immediately open an investigation into the actions of The Valley Club in the leafy suburb of Huntingdon Valley, chairman Stephen A. Glassman said. "The rule of law in Pennsylvania is equal opportunity for all, regardless of race," Glassman said Thursday in a written statement released by his office.
"Allegedly, this group was denied the use of a pool based on their race," Glassman said. "If the allegations prove to be true, this is illegal discrimination in Pennsylvania."
The club maintains that accusations of racial discrimination are false and claims overcrowding from more than one outside camp was the problem.


This story was amazzing and a taste of American racism. However, when i read comments posted throughout the internet on it, I was appalled at how after all these years how very little we changed. The comments to follow show you just how ignorant and hateful America still is towards blacks. Cher Supports Daughter Chaz's Sex Change

The first sex change was in 1930 and very well publicized. So it is amazing to me that people act so ignorant around this topic. When I was 11 years old, I went to the state fair and saw Sony and Cher. I watched their TV show and watched Chastity come out each week waving. Nothing will bring more stupid people than topics such race, religion, abortion and gays. Today the topic was the military keeping their policy of don’t ask Don’t tell. The court said it will not hear an appeal from former Army Capt. James Pietrangelo II, who was dismissed under the "don't ask, don't tell" policy. The federal appeals court in Boston earlier threw out a lawsuit filed by Pietrangelo and 11 other veterans. How queer of all of you that are afraid of gays to make fun of them...I spent 7 long years of my life fighting for the country I love. I came home busted up, shot up, and broke down so people could voice their thoughts FREELY. Well guess what I like thousands of other men and women who served in the 60's and 70's served right next to gays and lesbians and 99% of us did not care. Why? Because when it came right down to it we had a job to do and we did it. We were trained to do it and did! Just as our fighting people do today. Just because your body and your "sex" may not match does not mean that you can be any less of a military person - if it did you washed out in boot camp. Right now people we need to keep religion, and government apart and learn to get along now more than ever. Day Care Fire Kills 31 Children in Mexico By OLGA R. RODRIGUEZ

MEXICO CITY (June 6, 2007) - A fast-moving fire killed 31 children in a day care center in northern Mexico despite desperate attempts of firefighters who punched through the walls and fought their way through flames to rescue babies, toddlers and others trapped inside. At least 25 children and five employees were hospitalized after Friday's fire in ABC day care in the city of Hermosillo, said Jose Larrinaga, a spokesman for investigators in the state of Sonora, which borders Arizona.

It is part of the reason why California is broke because our stupid goverment keeps feeding and medically treating Illegal mexicans. You know we will get stuck paying the bill !!! by higher copays and premiums to where I cant take my own kid to the doctor. When they don't sneak over here and get ourmoney, they bring em over here, Mexico has to learn how to take care of their own. I know lot will be mad at me for this, but I don't care. It's ashame I don't have a say in where my tax dollars go !

Confiscate all their possessions------make them wait 10 years before being eligable for citizenship as they are already criminals. freeze all immigration of scum from south of the border until real American taxpayers have their jobs back.-----imprison any employer that hires illegal aliens. --- make illegal alien bordercrossing a felony so illegals can be shot. beginning with striped bass and illegal ar spicklett anchorbaby of illegals----all pigs.
